Why are FPD C-arms more popular with customers than shadow-increase C-arms?

The mobile C-arm is known as the surgeon's eye, which can assist orthopedic surgeons to complete the operation smoothly, quickly and efficiently through accurate positioning by bedside real-time film during surgery. After decades of development, C-arm has come from the era of fluoroscopy to the era of image intensifier. An image intensifier converts invisible X-rays into visible light and enhances image brightness. In order to process the image, the image intensifier needs to cooperate with the camera system to convert the image into electrical signal for processing. Due to the many imaging links, the X-ray conversion rate is low, and the final signal can be used less than 50%. The image performance of small C is not high definition, edge distortion of visual field, low spatial resolution and low contrast, which is not conducive to accurate diagnosis by surgeons. In addition, due to the limited volume of the image intensifier, the C format cannot be enlarged when the image is increased. The same part may need to be shot several times to obtain the complete picture, which increases the exposure times invisibly and increases the ionizing radiation suffered by doctors and patients.
