Ultrasonic scalpel converts electric current into mechanical vibration through electrostrictive effect or magnetostrictive effect. This vibration is amplified and coupled by the amplitude transformer, which drives the scalpel head to work and radiate energy to the local tissue of the human body, thereby performing surgical treatment. The vibration frequency of the ultrasonic scalpel is about 55.5KHz. This high-frequency mechanical vibration vaporizes the water in the tissue, breaks the protein hydrogen bonds, and disintegrates the cells to form a viscous coagulant. At the same time, it generates friction heat, thereby achieving the effect of cutting and hemostasis. Since the ultrasonic scalpel does not cut tissue by heat, but by mechanical vibration, it causes less thermal damage to the surrounding tissue and is a more advanced medical surgical device.

The Taktvoll Ultrasonic Scalpel System is indicated for hemostatic cutting and coagulation of soft tissue incisions when bleeding control and minimal thermal injury are desired. The ultrasonic scalpel system can be used as an adjunct to or substitute for electrosurgery, lasers, and steel scalpels. The system utilizes ultrasonic energy.

Taktvoll Hand Pieces

The Hand Piece THP108, when used in conjunction with the Instruments, is indicated for soft tissue incisions when bleeding control and minimal thermal injury are desired.

Reusable hand pieces power all enegry into ultrasonic vibration.

 

The Hand Piece is programmed with a counter to limit the service life to 95 procedures.

The generator will give a Hand Piece error after 95 procedures are completed. .

The number of activations during a procedure is not limited, and the counter will not log a procedure until the Hand Piece is unplugged from the generator or the generator is powered down.
