Hematology Analyzers have been popularized in China because of their accuracy and efficiency. They are deeply loved and trusted by medical workers and patients. They have replaced the manual counting in routine work, and have significantly improved the speed and quality of blood analysis. As an inspection worker, after using the Hematology Analyzer for a long period of time, he discovered that in addition to good instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control, there are still some conditions that affect the Hematology Analyzer's test results. After observation, it was found that the following three major random factors seriously affect the accuracy and precision of the test results, requiring attention. These three kinds of situations are random conditions that often occur and affect the quality of blood analysis in Hematology Analyzers. However, these conditions are still not valued by people. In order to control the instrument detection results in a good and stable state and further improve the quality of blood analysis, the performance and disposal measures of these three conditions are reported below.
1, platelets and red blood cell aggregation
Platelet and erythrocyte aggregation due to irregular blood collection or other causes are manifested on the Hematology Analyzer's values and histograms. The most obvious manifestations are mainly the increase of the total number of white blood cells, the reduction of the total number of platelets, the elevation of the left side of the dotted line on the leukocyte histogram, and the degree of unevenness of the leukocyte and platelet histogram. The aggregation of platelets and erythrocytes occurs mainly in peripheral blood collection specimens. Platelet and erythrocyte aggregation may occur as long as a small amount of tissue fluid, ethanol components, and blood collection time are involved in the blood collection process. After observation, it was found that the best solution was to use the standard vacuum blood collection tube for venous blood sampling.
2, bubble effect
Violent oscillations during or before blood collection can not only rupture the cell, produce cell debris, affect the platelet count, but also produce a large number of tiny bubbles. When small bubbles are inhaled into the analyzer during analysis, small bubbles can be analyzed as cellular components and their values increase. Larger ones cause temporary blockage of the analysis pores, reduced counting, low counting results, and even false alarms of instrument flow. . This kind of alarm is not specific, the analysis is more difficult, and work should be avoided as much as possible.
3, maintenance issues
The maintenance of the instrument is an important part of the use of the Hematology Analyzer. After starting the instrument and decommissioning for a long period of time, everyone needs to perform instrument maintenance and background count detection, and the quality control is better. However, the problem lies in the detection process. After the specimen, if the maintenance of the Hematology Analyzer and background count monitoring are not performed, the flow path will be dirty, the count hole will become smaller, the background count will increase, and the detection result will be high; if no background counting is performed, the flow path will be generated. Unclean and can not be found in time, the latter test results are high, especially the most significant impact on platelet count. Therefore, after a certain amount of specimen is detected in the detection process, a background count monitoring must be performed in order to find the flow path problem and deal with it in time.
The above mentioned influencing factors are frequent. The first two factors affect the detection results of individual specimens. The latter factor will affect all test results after the instrument is dirty and has not yet been cleaned. As long as you observe the operation of the instrument and the changes in the alarms and histograms in the blood analysis report, it is not difficult to find the influence of the above factors on the blood analysis results. As long as the three factors mentioned above are well controlled, the influencing factors that often appear in daily work can be controlled and the Hematology Analyzer test results will be more accurate and reliable.
