Daily maintenance of ultrasound equipment

Medical equipment maintenance is an important part of medical quality and safety, and the purpose of preventive maintenance is to ensure the performance and stability of the machine, and to extend the life of the machine.

Working environment requirements

①Dustproof

②Working temperature: +10 to 40C

Working/storage humidity: up to 80%RH

Working atmospheric pressure: 700-1060 hPa (normal atmospheric pressure)

③ Ensure that the input voltage is stable and the input power supply meets the standard grounding measures.

Prepare supplies

Non-abrasive lint-free soft cloth, general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning liquid, ethanol or isopropanol with a concentration of not less than 70%, paper clips, cotton swabs, toothpicks.

Routine maintenance steps

1. Turn off the system and unplug the power cord.

2. Cleaning the display or touch screen: Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning liquid to wipe and clean the back of the display and its supporting accessories.

Suggested solutions for LCD screens:

① Use lint-free soft cloth/wet wipes to wipe the screen (for example, clean room wipes category: Class 100/ISO5)

②Wipe the screen from the outside towards the center of the screen

③If necessary, use a soft lint-free cloth/wet wipe with a small amount of approved cleaner/disinfectant to wipe the screen

④ Wipe any remaining traces on the screen with ethanol, and dry it with a dry, lint-free soft cloth when the screen is still wet

Note: Gently wipe the display surface/touch screen. Be sure not to scratch the monitor/touch screen, and avoid liquid entering from under the screen.

3. Keyboard panel

① Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the keyboard panel.

② Use a cotton swab to clean the keys or controls. Use a toothpick to gently remove solids from the surface of the panel.

Note: When cleaning the keyboard panel, be sure not to splash or spill any liquid on the panel.

4. Trackball

Follow the steps below to clean and disinfect the trackball.

① Use the paperclip tool to rotate the ring around the trackball counterclockwise and lift it out.

② Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the sphere, ring and groove.

③ Put the trackball back in after it has dried, put it back in the loop and turn it clockwise to tighten it.

5. Probe holder and accessories

Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the surface of the bracket.

6. Clean the system cabinet (including the battery compartment), mobile pulley:

Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning solution to clean the system compartment and moving pulleys.

Note: Avoid liquids from entering the battery box.

7. Probe

① Straighten out the probe cable without twisting it.

②Use a non-abrasive soft cloth or such wet wipes with a mild general-purpose, non-abrasive cleaning fluid to clean the probe line and wipe clean the ultrasonic coupling agent and residue on the probe surface.

Notice:

*Do not knock the probe or drop it on a hard surface, otherwise the probe cannot be repaired.

*Do not step on the line or allow the system wheels to press on the line.

8. Confirm that the system is working properly

Turn on the system and confirm that the system time and date are correct, the image is normal, and the function is normal.

9. Use of machines during surgery

When using the machine and probe during the operation, please refer to the requirements of "Maintenance and Cleaning" to further disinfect and sterilize the whole machine and probe.
