Maintenance of ultrasound probe
Ultrasound probe is a precision and precious device, and also a valuable part of ultrasound equipment. Its damage will make the ultrasound diagnostic equipment unable to use normally. Therefore, in order to protect the probe, pay attention to the following points during use:
1) Read the probe instruction manual carefully before use, and strictly abide by the probe use regulations;
2) Ultrasonic probe is a valuable device. It must be handled with care during use and must not hit the acoustic head. The original manufacturer’s probe packaging box or soft cloth should be used to wrap the acoustic head during transportation and storage.
3) When installing and removing the probe, first turn off the main power supply of the whole machine, and then operate it carefully.
4) Avoid contact with organic solvents, otherwise the probe will be cracked and damaged due to contact with organic solvents, but alcohol-based organic solvents can be used. Remember not to wipe with acetone.
5) Protect the lens surface. Once the lens surface is damaged, the couplant will easily enter the inside of the probe and damage the piezoelectric chip. Therefore, it is not allowed to pierce the lens surface with sharp objects during use.
6) Non-corrosive coupling agent should be used. The ultrasonic coupling agent used has no irritation effect on the skin and is non-oily, because the acoustic lens of many probes is easily damaged by the corrosion of oily substances.
7) If you want to immerse and disinfect, please follow the manufacturer's instructions, otherwise the circuit inside the probe will become invalid and even burn out.
8) High temperature sterilization is not allowed, because piezoelectric ceramics are installed inside the probe, and high temperature will weaken the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramics.
9) Before use, check carefully whether the probe shell and cable are damaged to prevent the probe from hurting people due to high voltage and electric shock.
10) After the probe is used, be sure to wipe clean the residual coupling agent on the probe to prevent mice or other animals from gnawing on the lens.
Paying attention to preventive maintenance is the basic requirement of medical device engineering and technical personnel. Perform health checks on equipment to ensure safe and effective operation of equipment, reduce downtime, and save maintenance costs. Eliminate minor faults and avoid causing major faults to affect the normal operation of the hospital. Attention should be paid to any abnormality that occurs during the operation of the equipment. Sometimes a small abnormal phenomenon may be a precursor to a failure. If it is not checked, it may cause a greater failure and cause unnecessary losses to the hospital. Perform regular inspections on the equipment. Do not let the equipment work with illness. Do not wait for the equipment to be completely paralyzed before repairing. Routine maintenance and regular maintenance are very important, which can extend the service life of the equipment, reduce the downtime of the equipment, and improve the economy. benefit.
