The microplate reader is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. It is a special instrument for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, also known as microplate detector. It can be simply divided into two categories: semi-automatic and fully automatic, but its working principle is basically the same, and its core is a colorimeter, that is, colorimetry is used for analysis. The measurement generally requires the final volume of the test solution to be below 250 μL, and the test cannot be completed with a general photoelectric colorimeter, so there are special requirements for the photoelectric colorimeter in the microplate reader.
A microplate is a kind of transparent plastic plate that is embedded in advance and specially used to place the samples to be tested. A small hole can hold a fraction of a milliliter of solution.
Note the following:
1. Use a dosing device to add liquid, and the dosing heads cannot be mixed.
2. Wash the board to clean. If possible, use a plate washer to avoid cross-contamination.
3. Strictly follow the instructions of the kit, and the reaction time is accurate.
4. During the measurement process, do not touch the ELISA plate to prevent the operator's hand from being squeezed during the transfer of the ELISA plate.
5. Do not spill samples or reagents on the surface or inside of the instrument, and wash your hands after the operation.
6. If the samples or reagents used have contamination, toxicity and biological hazards, please strictly follow the operating instructions of the kit to prevent damage to the operator.
7. If the instrument has come into contact with contaminated or infectious objects, please clean and sterilize it.
8. Do not turn off the power during measurement.
9. For the deviation of the measurement results caused by the problem of the kit, the parameters should be modified in time according to the actual situation to achieve the best effect.
10. Cover the dust cover after use.
11. When there is a technical failure, you should contact the manufacturer in time, and do not disassemble the microplate reader without authorization.
