Ministry of Commerce: in the first half of the year, the bilateral trade volume between China and Afghanistan increased by 44% year-on-year

At the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce today, Gao Feng, a spokesman, introduced that the bilateral trade volume between China and Afghanistan reached US $550 million in 2020. From January to June this year, the bilateral trade volume between China and Afghanistan reached US $310 million, an increase of 44% year-on-year. By the end of June this year, China had invested 430 million US dollars in Afghanistan.

Gao Feng said that China is willing to work with the international community to support Afghanistan's peaceful reconstruction, improve people's livelihood and improve its capacity for independent development.
