(1) The installation requirements of the ethylene oxide sterilizer: The ethylene oxide sterilizer must be placed in a well-ventilated place. Do not place it near the fire source. In order to facilitate maintenance and regular maintenance, 51cm of space should be reserved on each side (including the top) of the ethylene oxide sterilizer. Special exhaust ducts should be installed and completely isolated from other exhaust ducts in the building.
(2) Principles and precautions for ethylene oxide safety protection:
1) Keep the ethylene oxide sterilizer and gas cylinders or gas tanks away from fire and static electricity.
2) The ethylene oxide storage place should be free of fire, no rotating motor, no sunlight, good ventilation, and the temperature is lower than 40℃, but it should not be placed in the refrigerator. Dispose of in strict accordance with the storage requirements for inflammable and explosive materials formulated by the state.
3) Do not use too much force when administering the medicine and opening the bottle, so as not to spray out the medicine.
4) Monitor the air concentration in the working environment of ethylene oxide every year.
5) Ethylene oxide staff should be trained on professional knowledge and emergency handling. After excessive exposure to ethylene oxide, quickly move the patient away from the poisoning site, and immediately inhale fresh air; after skin contact, rinse the contact area with water for at least 15 minutes while removing dirty clothes; eye contact with liquid ethylene oxide or high-concentration epoxy Flush eyes with ethane gas for at least 10 minutes. In case of the aforementioned conditions, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
6) Regularly clean, maintain and debug the ethylene oxide sterilization equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
7) Ethylene oxide can form toxic ethylene glycol when it meets with water, so it cannot be used for food sterilization.
