Solution to the high airway pressure alarm of ventilator

Hello~

Today I will analyze the solution to the alarm of high airway pressure!

The common method is to increase the setting value of the high pressure alarm of the machine (such as 60hPa), but this method does not cure the symptoms. For specific reasons and solutions, please refer to the following:

Alarm phenomenon: “PH” flashes in the middle of the screen, accompanied by sound alarm and red light flashing;

Commonly used values: the high pressure alarm setting value should be higher than the actual peak pressure by more than 10HPA, the emergency environment is recommended to be set above 40HPA, and the low tidal volume patients are slightly lower;

Common alarm causes and solutions:

1. Increased airflow assistance: blockage of patient's sputum, blockage of breathing tube, etc.;

2. Reduced lung compliance: patients with atelectasis, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis and pneumothorax;

3. The patient coughs, the patient attempts to speak, and the patient wants to "spit out" the endotracheal tube;

4. Patients and ventilator confrontation: adjust ventilator parameters or drug intervention;
