When it comes to anesthesia machine, it is actually a product that can play the role of general anesthesia, which can send anesthetic drugs into the patient's alveoli through a mechanical circuit, and then form the partial pressure of anesthetic gas, and after diffusion into the blood, it will have a direct inhibitory effect on the central nervous system, which will eventually have an effect.

The main types of inhalation anaesthesia machines are air anaesthesia machines, direct current anaesthesia machines and circulating tight anaesthesia machines. Most anaesthesia machines provide a continuous flowing circulation of oxygen and anaesthetic gases called a circulatory system.

In the case of manual ventilation, the operator must be required to constantly squeeze the reservoir bag manually to enable the patient to breathe. During longer procedures, the operator is not only very tired but also interferes with other tasks, so automatic ventilators are commonly used to mechanically enable the patient to breathe.

When the ventilator is used, it forces the anaesthetic mixture into the patient's circuit and respiratory system, receiving the patient's exhaled and fresh gases. The anaesthetist can adjust parameters such as tidal volume, respiratory rate, inspiratory to expiratory ratio and minute ventilation according to the patient's condition. Ventilation is adjusted to meet the various needs of the patient.

Depending on the configuration, the anaesthesia machine has a set of monitoring-related devices, such as for monitoring airway aspects, physiological aspects, anaesthetic gas concentrations and monitoring that indirectly reflects the depth of anaesthesia and muscle relaxation of the patient.

The anaesthesia workstation is also equipped with an anaesthesia information management system, which receives, analyses and stores information related to the clinical and administrative management of anaesthesia, automatically captures information from the monitor and automatically generates anaesthesia records.
