How much do you know about the types of ultrasound probes?

1. Ultrasound probes can be classified from the following different aspects:

1. Classified by diagnostic location: There are ophthalmic probes, heart probes, abdominal probes, cranial probes, intracavitary probes and children's probes;

2. Classification by application: There are extracorporeal probes, intracorporeal probes, and biopsy probes;

3. Classification according to the number of vibrating elements used in the transducer in the probe: There are also the unit probe and the multi-element probe;

4. Classified by beam control method: wired scanning probe, phased array probe, mechanical fan scanning probe and square array probe, etc.;

5. Classification according to the geometric shape of the probe: For different diagnosis, there are rectangular probes, various shaped probes of column breaks, arc-shaped ultrasonic probes (also called convex), circular probes, etc.

Under normal circumstances, what is accustomed to use in work is to classify according to the diagnosis part classification, beam control method classification, and the collection shape classification of the probe.

2. Common B-ultrasound probes

1. Convex array probe 3.5MHz

2. Linear array probe 3.5MHz

3. High frequency linear array 7.5MHz

4. Cavity probe 6.5MHz

5. Heart probe 3.2MHz

6. Phased array probe 3.0MHz

7. Three-dimensional probe 3.5MHz

Three, animal probe

1. Micro convex probe 3.2MHz and 5.0MHz

2. Cavity probe 6.5MHz

3. Linear array probe 5.0MHz and 7.5MHz

Applicable scope of B-ultrasound probe:

Convex array probe is suitable for: abdomen, thoracic cavity, stomach, kidney, heart, women, etc.

Linear array probe is suitable for: skin surface, thyroid, chest, blood vessels, etc.

Micro convex probe is suitable for: abdomen, kidney, small animals, neonatal tissues and organs, etc.

How to distinguish and distinguish whether the B-ultrasound probe is a linear array, convex array, or slightly convex probe

The B-ultrasound transducer (probe) is divided from the appearance: the mechanical fan sweep is similar to the convex array, both of which are cylindrical, and the linear array is rectangular; from the scanning mode: the mechanical fan sweep is driven by a micro-motor drive changing mechanism. Electroceramics perform fan-shaped motion, while convex arrays and linear arrays are electronic scanning, that is, scanning is achieved by sequentially triggering the elements in the piezoelectric ceramic array; from the detection, the displayed image is divided into: mechanical fan scanning and image arrays are fan-shaped, The upper part is small and the lower part is bigger. The linear array is a plane of equal width; in addition, mechanical noise and micro-vibration are present when the mechanical B-ultrasound transducer is working, but the convex array and the linear array do not have these phenomena.
