The Difference Of Veterinary Ultrasound Probes?

What kinds of veterinary ultrasound probes are there? What is the difference?

The veterinary ultrasound machine company has mechanical probes and electronic probes (convex array probe, rectal probe, micro-convex probe, backfat linear probe, sheep rectal probe).

1. The rectal probe uses multiple array element crystals to receive ultrasonic signals, and it can only perform in vivo measurements (cattle can only choose rectal probes);

2. The mechanical probe does not have an array element crystal. It is a chip. It uses vibration scanning. One chip keeps rotating. Because it is to scan all, it is driven by the motor and sends out a fan-shaped ultrasonic beam array;

3. Backfat eye muscle probe: It is mainly used to measure the fat and thinness of pigs. Too fat or too thin is not conducive to breeding. The standard value of backfat is 18mm-22mm;

4. Sheep rectal probe: there is a handle, no need to go in by hand

Precautions:

1. The mechanical probe needs to be injected with special oil for about a year, because the rotation will consume oil, and the oil will volatilize less after a long time, and air bubbles will appear in the probe, which will affect the detection effect. It needs to be injected with oil at intervals.

2. The oil in the mechanical probe will solidify when the temperature is low in winter. It needs to be preheated for a period of time before it can be used normally.

3. The rectal probe is an electronic probe. The electronic probe can be selected according to the size of the animal to be detected and the use of the detection. There are various probes available: dorsal fat eye muscle probe, special probe for in vivo egg collection (OPU), convex array rectal probe, large Convex probes, high-frequency linear arrays, high-frequency micro-convex, multi-frequency probes, etc.; and mechanical probes are an option.

4. The service life of the electronic probe is longer than that of the mechanical probe, because the mechanical probe is the ultrasonic wave generated by the vibration of the motor, so the loss will be relatively fast.

Note: Rectal probe is selected for cattle, and micro-convex probe is selected for pig and sheep.
